Marcus was appointed lead counsel in the multi-district litigation against Essure, marketed as a permanent form of birth control. The product has since been taken off the market.
In the course of the conversation Marcus stated that "what I've come to realize is that over the past decade, women are being targeted by Big Pharma and corporate America, and they're also being burdened with all the risks that men don't face for a lot of medical procedures and drugs, birth control being one of them."
